Case Study #3:
A
Matter of Demographics
For the first
time, there are four generations in the
corporate workplace. Our client in
Nashville, Tennessee wanted to identify the overall demographic makeup of the
company as a way to enhance
communication across the entire
workforce. The first question of
each session asked, "What
generation are you part of?" The
answers were: Mature, Boomer, Gen X, or
Millenial.
Using this as the main demographic
filter, all of the following questions
could be sorted by this criteria.
After each question was asked, we
displayed the results of the group as a
whole. Then, we sliced the data
even further by showing how each
generation answered each question.
There definitely were differences across
the generations.
By looking at how each generation
perceived different situations and then
discussing the results, the group was
able to identify specific elements of
each generation and work on ways to
communicate that all generations could
relate to.
Audience Response empowered our client
to begin making these changes on the spot,
thereby creating a more dynamic and
efficient environment for all employees.
After four meetings utilizing the same
questions, all the results were combined
to give an overall demographic picture
of the company.
